The Naram Sin Foundation held a dialogue session with Mr. Nouri al-Maliki, leader of the State of Law Coalition, at his residence in Baghdad.

With a number of political and media elites, university professors, and deans of Iraqi colleges
The most important topics and issues that are at the forefront of the political scene were discussed, including:
1- Warning against the banned Baath Party and Mr. Maliki’s focus on mentioning it and reminding society of its danger.
2- Demands to dissolve the Accountability and Justice Commission and those behind it, and what are its repercussions.
3- The upcoming parliamentary elections, the election law and its importance in consolidating democracy and the peaceful transfer of power.
A clear and frank dialogue took place, and Mr. Maliki listened to the opinions of those present and discussed with everyone what had been raised. He emphasized the importance of communication and listening to academic elites and the necessity of providing appropriate solutions to decision-makers.
4- He criticized the poor treatment of the media and journalists, resorting to restricting public opinion and filing lawsuits against them, which reduces the space for freedoms in society.
The meeting concluded with expressions of gratitude to the attendees, and Dr. Haider Al-Barzanji, President of the Naram Sin Foundation, thanked everyone for their attendance and for accepting the invitation.
Hajj Al-Maliki used his valuable time and his media office to coordinate and prepare the seminar.
