His Eminence, the religious authority, Ayatollah Sayyid Hussein Ismail al-Sadr (may his shadow last), received Dr. Haider al-Barzanji, a researcher in political affairs, at his residence in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
Dr. Barzanji’s visit was to check on the health and safety of His Eminence Sayyid al-Sadr (may his shadow last) after he underwent a successful heart catheterization procedure, praying to God Almighty to grant him a full recovery and continued health and wellness.
The meeting included an exchange of views on current political developments, with His Eminence emphasizing the importance of strengthening national unity and consolidating the principle of dialogue to confront the challenges facing Iraq.
For his part, Dr. Barzanji expressed his happiness at the safety of His Eminence Mr. Al-Sadr and his gratitude for the opportunity to meet him, appreciating his continuous efforts in consolidating peace and promoting coexistence among all components of the Iraqi people.
