As part of its efforts to promote dialogue on development policies, the Naram Sin Foundation for Dialogue and Community Development organized a dialogue seminar entitled “The Ministry of Planning’s Methodology in Building Sustainable Development for a Capable Iraq,” at the Foundation’s hall in the capital, Baghdad, in the presence of His Excellency Dr. Muhammad Tamim, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Planning, along with a select group of political, academic and social figures.

The symposium featured in-depth discussions on the foundations upon which the Ministry of Planning bases its development policies and its role in promoting economic and social stability, with a focus on mechanisms for achieving sustainable development. Participants also addressed the current challenges facing development plans, the opportunities available for advancing various sectors, and the importance of cooperation between government institutions and the private sector to ensure the effective implementation of development projects.

The symposium concluded with a set of recommendations that emphasized the need to continue the dialogue on strategic planning mechanisms, and to adopt flexible development policies that respond to economic transformations and support Iraq’s stability and growth.

This seminar is part of a series of intellectual events organized by the Naram Sen Foundation for Dialogue and Community Development, as part of its commitment to promoting constructive discussion on development issues and supporting efforts to achieve a sustainable economic renaissance in Iraq.
